TREATMENTS


General treatment protocol in our hospital includes Internal medicines,Treatment procedures,
Panchakarma terapies, Ayurveda diet, Yoga session
etc.according to the medical condition as
advised by the Doctors.


1. ABHYANGAM
Abhyanga is the procedure of application of oil over body with certain amount of pressure in
specific directions. In this procedure warm medicated oil is applied gently all over the body
in anuloma gathi(hair growing direction)Prevents aging, Overcome fatigue, Nourishment of body,
Strengthens the body, Promotes the functional ability of nerves, Increases peripheral circulation,
improves the functional ability of sense organs.




2. KIZHI
It is the procedure in which the whole body is massaged with the help of herbal bdus. It can be
done with different herbal preparations like powders, leaves, lemons, herbal rice etc.. It is an
effective treatment for Arthritis, Joint pain , stiffness, Inflammation, traumatic pain and swelling




3. PIZHICHIL
Pizhichil is a procedure in which the whole body is bathed in streams of lukewarm medicated oil with
simultaneous soft massage. It is one of the most popular & important ayurvedic treatment of kerala.
This treatment is highly effective in osteo arthritis, paralysis, hemiplegia and other neurological disorders. It also helps to prevent the degenerative changes of the body.




4. SIRODHARA
Sirodhara is a procedure in which medicated oil, milk, butter milk, or decoction is poured in a continuous stream of drip on the head especially on te forehead in a specific manner.
It is very beneficial in stress,psychosomatic disorders, neurological disorders, head ache, insomnia, hypertension, hair problems etc... It improves the memory and concentration.




5. UDWARTANAM
It is a special procedure in which the body is massaged with herbal powders in an upward stroke. It helps toburn the extra fat accumulated in the body. It is an effective treatment in obesity and specific skin disorders.




6. KATI VASTI
It is the procedure in which medicated warm oil is retained in the low back region in a specially prepared dough rim. It is effective in low back ache, lumbar spondylosis, sciatica, and other disc problems.




7. GREEVA VASTI
Retaining medicated warm oil in the nape (back of neck). It is helpful in cervical spondylosis, frozen shoulders and other neck pains.





8. JANU VASTI
Retaining medicated warm oil on the knee joints. It is helpful in osteo arthritis of knees, rheumatoid arthritis and other knee joint pains.




9. SIRO VASTI
Sirovasthi is the procedure where the medicated warm oil is retained on the head for a specific time in a cap fixed around the head. It has a wide range of indications such as facial palsy, insomnia, eye diseases and other head and hair related problems




10. NETRA THARPANAM
Procedure in which medicated decoction is kept around the eyes in a specially prepared eye pouch. It is useful in certain eye diseases like cataract blurred vision, dryness of eyes etc. It also helps to improve the beauty & vision of eyes.




11. MUKHA LEPAM
A medicated herbal pack is applied to an oleated, fomented and toned face which helps to prevent acne, pigmentation, dark circles, wrinkles .It makes the skin healthy, soft, and supple by improving the blood circulation.




12. VAMANAM
It is one among the panchakarma. It is the process in which vitiated Doshas (toxins) are expelled through the upper route that is the mouth. It is said to be the principle treatment for kapha diseases. It is indicated in several skin diseases, upper respiratory track diseases etc.





13. VIRECHANAM
Virechana or purgation is the second therapy in the sequence of panchakarma. It is the most widely used purificatory procedure for pitta diseases. It is very effective in several Skin deseases,alimentary tract disorders.





14. VASTHI
Vasti (medicated enema) is regarded as the prime treatment modality among the panchakarma. In this treatment medicated oil or decoction is administered into colon through the anus. It is said to be the principle treatment for vata diseases. It is indicated in paralysis, hemiplegia, arthritis etc




15. NASYAM
It is one of the panchakarmas. It is a process by which medicine is administered through the nostrils in a specific manner. It is an effective treatment for sinusitis, migraine, facial palsy, cervical spondylitis and several types of headaches.




16. RAKTHAMOKSHAM
Raktha moksha is a unique parasurgical measure. It is a procedure of removing the vitiated blood out of the body. It is carried out by using sharp surgical instruments or by parasurgical measures like leeches. It is effective in skin disease like psoriasis, eczema etc
